By rail/walking from the station

I don’t need to tell you how to buy train tickets do I? Just go to wherever you buy tickets - Northern, LNER, TransPennine, Trainline, I don’t get paid enough to care. Book your train for York as the destination.

 

When you get here, exit through the short-stay car park by platform 4 and continue heading North - you will cross Scarborough rail bridge. Turn left at the end of the bridge (you’ll need to go down some steps) and walk along the river heading away from town. Eventually you’ll come to Clifton Bridge. Walk up the road and you’ll see the YHA opposite you.

By bus

The closest bus stop is Clifton Green, served by the 2, 2A, 28, 29, 30X, 31X, 74, 80, 825, 875 and M31. So yeah, there’s a lot of buses here, it’s on a main road. 

By taxi

Tell them to take you to YHA York. Postcode is YO30 6LP.

By car

Parking is really limited at the venue, and as a result we strongly recommend you park at Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride, which is up the A19 from the venue and has free parking, but also closes at about 11pm. I guess if you’re staying overnight, maybe try on-street parking near that park and ride?

 

The nearest public car park to the venue is probably Marygate, which is £25 for all-day parking, or there’s also Carlisle Street which is £6 but much smaller.

By bike

The YHA has a bike store so just use that.
